How this benefits you as a Davidsons Homes resident

Looking after your health can often fall down the priority list in the busyness of everyday life. GP appointments can take time to arrange and many people only visit a doctor when something feels wrong.

Designed to make preventative healthcare simple

The health screening programme at Broadnook has been designed to make preventative healthcare simple, accessible and convenient for residents of Davidsons Homes

Located at the consultation suite behind The Middletons marketing suite at Broadnook Garden Village, the facility houses LEO Broadnook, a LEO360® telemedicine medical robot. During a screening appointment, a trained Healthcare Assistant carries out a series of health checks while you are connected via secure video consultation to a GP. The technology allows the GP to guide the examination remotely, enabling a thorough health screening in a calm and comfortable setting close to home.

Appointments are straightforward and typically take no more than 20–25 minutes.

The screening looks at a range of key health indicators, helping to identify potential concerns early and providing reassurance where everything is normal. Early detection is one of the most powerful tools in modern healthcare, often allowing issues to be addressed before they develop into more serious problems.

As part of the pilot and pre-launch refinement process, more than 200 people have already taken part in the health screening programme. The results have demonstrated just how valuable early checks can be. Several previously undiagnosed conditions have been identified, with a small number of cases requiring further investigation and, in a couple of instances, hospital intervention due to the seriousness of the findings.

While these cases highlight the importance of preventative screening, the majority of participants leave reassured and with a clearer understanding of their overall health.

For residents of Davidsons Homes, the most important thing is that this service is completely free to access as part of the Broadnook pilot programme.

Booking an appointment is simple. Visit www.leobroadnook.co.uk and register your interest. You will then receive a link allowing you to select a date and time that is convenient for you.

This pioneering initiative forms part of a wider exploration into how innovative technology can help bring healthcare closer to where people live, supporting early detection, prevention and improved access to care within communities.

For Davidsons residents, it offers something very simple but incredibly valuable — the opportunity to take a proactive step towards understanding and protecting your health.
