A Health Screening isn’t just a quick check—it’s a meaningful early-warning system for your health. Many conditions develop quietly with few or no symptoms.
This page contains feedback from people who have benefited from the Health Screening – and possibly obverted life changing issues through engaging with the process.
Looking after your health can often fall down the priority list in the busyness of everyday life. GP appointments can take time to arrange, and many people only visit a doctor when something feels wrong.
The health screening programme at Broadnook has been designed to make preventative healthcare simple, accessible, and convenient. Several people have identified issues early and resulted in GP and Hospital referrals – which have resulted in early treatment of what could have been serious conditions.
Here are examples where the individual has agreed to share their experience.
Case Study 1: Early Detection of a Potentially Serious Condition
During a routine health screening using the LEO360 system, one participant attended out of curiosity about how the technology worked and the convenience it offered.
The screening included a series of checks supported by a trained healthcare assistant, with results reviewed in real time by a GP via the robot’s interface. During the consultation, the participant mentioned a lump on their neck that had been changing over several months but had not previously been assessed.
Using the robot’s camera, the GP was able to examine the area and advised that it required urgent follow-up, as it could be a serious condition. A referral letter was provided immediately through the system.
The participant sought further medical attention and was referred for specialist care. The issue was treated promptly following hospital assessment.
The participant later reflected that they had not intended to seek medical advice prior to the screening and credited the accessibility and immediacy of the LEO360 system with prompting timely action.
This case highlights how convenient, technology-enabled health checks can support early identification of potentially serious conditions and encourage proactive healthcare engagement.

Case Study 2: Identification of a Life-Threatening Condition
During an early rollout of the LEO360 Health Screening programme, another participant attended a routine check and described the experience as both convenient and reassuring.
Following a series of standard assessments supported by a healthcare assistant, the results were reviewed by a GP via the robot’s live interface. When asked about any additional concerns, the participant mentioned a lump on their leg that had appeared recently but had not been investigated.
With support from the assistant, the GP used the robot’s camera to assess the area and advised that the symptoms could indicate a deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a potentially life-threatening condition. The participant was instructed to seek immediate hospital care.
The diagnosis was subsequently confirmed, and urgent treatment was provided, preventing further complications.
The participant later reflected that they had initially delayed seeking care, assuming the issue was minor, and believed that the screening played a critical role in enabling early intervention.
This case demonstrates the potential for integrated screening technology to identify urgent health risks and facilitate rapid escalation to appropriate care.
